New Paint in the Dining Room

If you follow along, you'll remember that I've been slowly revamping the dining room.  Here was where I last left off and it was a little more traditional than I wanted...  you can read more about that here and here.

The walls were a light blue, curtains gray and it felt very formal.  So, I came up with the design below to add a little flair to the room and make it feel cozier and a little more interesting.

I'm glad to say that with the new paint and art on the wall the room is even better than I hoped it would be!  The walls are Valspar's Montpelier Ashlar Gray and the accent wall is Mark Twain Brick Gray.  I am in love with this color!  It translates as a dark blue gray in person.

This room is adjacent to our new playroom which we revealed a couple of weeks ago.  I swapped out the curtains for white ones in the dining room to coordinate with the playroom (plus the new accent wall made the gray curtains look purple).

I am in love with how this room turned out!  It's always so exciting to see your vision come to be a reality.  What kinds of projects have you had in your mind and watched come to life?
