You know that little guy in the IKEA instructions that is staring at a pile of miscellaneous pieces and ambiguous instructions - I had reached that moment in my life a little over two years ago. It appeared that the plan I had made for my life unraveled and I was left trying to figure out how to reassemble. It's been a journey but I've learned that my best life is ahead of me.I'm a single mom of two amazing kiddos, a grad student, lover of "real life" fashion, and an avid DIY-er. I started this blog several years ago as a way to document my home improvement projects. For the first time in my life, I now live in an apartment which brings a level of ease when it comes to home maintenance. However, I do miss the ability to pick up my tools and revamp a space. For now, I've tabled that hobby. Not that I have a loss of things to do keeping my kids, Little Man and Baby E, busy.
